Our Doctrinal Statement

GOD – We believe that the Godhead eternally exists in three Persons; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19 & 20; Mark 12:29; John 1:1-4; Acts 5:3 & 4; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Hebrews 1:1-3; Revelation 1:4-6).

JESUS – We believe the Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. He became man, without ceasing to be God, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. (John 1:1; 2:14; Luke 1:35).

HOLY SPIRIT – We believe that the Holy Spirit is a Divine Person, the source and power of all acceptable worship and service. He is our abiding Comforter and Helper. (John 7:38 & 39; 14:16 and 17; 15:26; 16:13 & 14; Acts 1:8; Romans 3:9; Philippians 3:3).

BIBLE – We believe that the Bible, made up of 66 books in the Old and New Testaments, are “given by inspiration of God.” We believe that the Bible is completely inerrant in its original manuscripts. (Mark 12:26 & 36; 13:11; Acts 1:16; 2:4; 1 Corinthians 2:13; 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21)

MAN – We believe that man, originally created in the image and after the likeness of God, fell from his holy estate by disobeying the Lord in the garden Eden. We believe that man now is inherently with a totally corrupt human nature. (Genesis 1:26; 2:17; 6:5; Psalm 14:1-3; 51:5; Jeremiah 17:9; John 3:6; 5:40; Romans 5:12-19; 6:53; 8:6 & 7; Ephesians 2:1-3; 1 Timothy 5:6; 1 John 3:8.

SALVATION – We believe that our redemption has been accomplished solely by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, who was made a curse for us, dying in our stead; and that no good work can add in the very least to the value of the merit of that finished work. (Leviticus 17:11; Matthew 26:23; Romans 5:6-9; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Galatians 3:13; Ephesians 1:7; 2:4-9; 1 Peter 1:18, 19.

CHURCH – We believe that the church is composed of all who are baptized into Christ’s body; and thus, being members one of another, we are responsible to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. (Matthew 16:16-18; Acts 2:32-47; Romans 12:5; 1 Corinthians 12:12-27; Ephesians 1:2-23; 4:3-10; Colossians 3:14 and 15).

FUTURE THINGS – We believe that the rapture of the church occurs before 7 years of tribulation on the earth, which is followed immediately by the 1,000 years reign of Christ as he comes to earth to fulfill the promises of his literal return. This ends with the Great White Throne where Christ judges all the unbelievers from all time. Then all go to their eternal state, unbelievers to eternal, suffering death in hell and believers in a new heaven and new earth. (Daniel 9:24-27; Luke 12:35-40; 17:26-30; 18:8; Acts 15:14-17; Romans 8:1; 2 Thessalonians 2:3, 8; 2 Timothy 3:1-5; Titus 2:11-15).

SPIRITUAL GIFTS – God is sovereign in the bestowment of all His gifts. Every believer possesses at least one for the edification of the body of Christ. Speaking in tongues and the working of sign miracles gradually ceased as the New Testament Scriptures were completed and their authority became established. God hears and answers the prayer of faith, in accordance with His own will, for the sick and afflicted. (John 15:7, 16; Romans 12:3-8; 1 Corinthians 12:4-27; 2 Corinthians 12:12; Ephesians 4:7-12; James 4:3; 5:13-16; 1 John 5:14 and 15).
